Loi 1901 non-profit — RNA W763018630

Solidarity with elders, families, newcomers and communities.

WAS is a French non-profit based in Le Petit-Quevilly (Normandy). We support older people, families facing hardship, immigrants and communities — and we transmit, free of charge, the know-how of sewing and fashion.

Last updated: May 2026. Donation checkout now runs through secure hosted providers, and our 2026 action priorities are published across all programme pages.

Our mission

One association, several solidarities

We believe that dignity, listening and transmission are the pillars of a caring society. That is why WAS acts on several complementary fronts.

Elderly support

Friendly visits, administrative help, social ties, workshops and outings — to break the isolation of older people.

Our work for elders

Social aid

Administrative support, paperwork, emergency aid, family support — concrete help for people facing hardship.

Who we are

A grass-roots association rooted in Normandy

WAS is a non-profit association governed by the French law of 1 July 1901, registered with the French authorities under RNA number W763018630. Our office is in Le Petit-Quevilly, in Seine-Maritime. We work alongside volunteers, families, partner associations and institutions to meet the concrete needs of the people we accompany.

Our approach is simple: we listen to people where they are, offer dignified support, and pass on knowledge that opens up perspectives — first and foremost the know-how of sewing and fashion, at the heart of our free school.

  • Elderly support and fight against isolation
  • Social aid and family support
  • Support for immigrants and newcomers
  • Support for the Jewish community in France
